Husick’s is a century-old general store turned into a funky open kitchen restaurant. Husick’s is located at 36510 Riverview Drive in Clarksburg, California.

The establishment has a rich history, having evolved from a general store to its current form. Under the ownership of Chef Matt Brown, known for his work at The Golden Bear, Jungle Bird, and Bodega Kitchen & Cocktails, the restaurant offers a diverse menu.

Harvest Happenings. And You!

Saturday and Sunday will herald the front end of fall. Cool Off Already! We can all agree that a change in the weather is overdue!

Apple Hill traffic has not been bad this year, so we’re encouraging you to plan a visit and pick up your club shipments and maybe see what we’ve got aging in the Barrel Room!

Upsides? We’ve got ’em! We’re going to fire up the BBQ and enjoy some grilled bites.

We’re also hosting our Travel Agent Dawn Johnson at the winery in Camino from 1-3pm this Saturday Oct 12th and also at the Station in Folsom from 3 -5pm this Sunday Oct 13th.

River Cruises are perhaps the most intimate way to tour, touch and taste European Wine regions. We highly encourage you to get out your pasport and join us. The 2025 Amsterdam to Luxembourg cruise is just about sold out. The 2026 Portugal cruise on the Douro River is red hot and will sell out before you know it.

We’ve had GREAT experiences with our cruise line AMA Waterways and can report that our guests’ experience with the food and service have both been outstanding. AMA Waterways ranks just above Viking in cruise comfort, largely because their cruises are not merely all-inclusive, but the intimate excursions, adventures and activities off the ships are fully included in the price of the cruise.

As an example, we enjoyed an extensive castle tour of a imposing castle in Bordeaux that had been owned by the same family for 800 years. It turns out that the ‘nice lady’ who hosted the tour was actually the owner of the castle!

Likewise, we had the amazing experience of digging truffles in Provence with a truffle dog and his owner. For animal lovers like us, that was a peak moment that is impossible to beat. Bettter yet, it turns out that the dog had to tell Mike that he was literally standing on a truffle. Get Out of the Way of the Truffle!

Then what?

We’re doing a Tri Tip Dinner with the accompaniment of songster Patrick Walsh on Thursday the 24th of October and the following week on the 31st is our Halloween Costume Bash featuring Darth Mozart! $25 per person, pre-purchases get a drink and a burger included! Make sure to RSVP Yourself!

We need to tell you about Crystal Basin’s After 5 Thursday night concert and dinner program.

There have been lots of questions about the details.  We are creating a return to the “Good Old Days” of our Crystal Basin Bistro in Camino.

So here goes:

  • Concerts and dinner events are Thursdays 5:30 to 8pm – everyone gets home for a good nights’ sleep!
  • These events are held at our winery in Camino at 3550 Carson Road
  • The attendance is limited to 50 people – it’s intimate
  • Music and dining are outdoors when the weather allows and moves inside when the weather is too warm or too cool
  • It’s true that our very own Chris Scott will tell a curated selection of his famous Dad Jokes during the intermission!  Cover Your Ears!
  • The cost is $30 and includes tax, tip and a free glass of wine for wine club members.
  • Glasses of wines of your choice are $10 during the events.
  • Our menu is grilled Tri-Tip steak, pesto pasta, caesar salad and mini cobblers made from fresh local fruit.  Our chef is Amanda Moore, formerly Assistant Chef at the Crystal Basin Bistro!
  • While they are not mandatory, we really like RSVPs so we can get the amount of food right!  Yes, you can come back for seconds!
