Well, here we are. April 2026. We hope and trust you are well.
It’s a time of transition at Crystal Basin. We ended our run at our ancestral home on 3/31 and are arranging a great space for winemaking and hospitality at our new digs in Placerville .
Now comes a revamp/revisit/rewiring of our business –
Crystal Basin 2.0 !
Our new location is very near to both DMV and Home Depot in Placerville. There are some amazing upgrades about our new space that you will enjoy when you visit:
- Our parking lot will not destroy the springs on your car.
- Our tasting room will feature a limited amount of comfortable seating.
- There will be snacks and soft drinks available for purchase.
- There are 3 less stoplights & 1 less roundabout required to visit the winery.
- No Snow!
- No Fire Evacuations!
There will be some things that will be comforting and familiar:
- Our talented and knowledgeable staff will remain the same (with a couple of added gray hairs).
- We will still feature barrel room tastings of new vintages.
- We’ll continue to feature Really Good Wines at Great Prices.
You can pick up your wine at our Folsom location, during our normal operating hours. However, there will be a bit of a pause in wine tasting at our new Placerville location whilst we get all of our licenses and permits and approvals, and, and, and… But know that we’ll come back in force! (Mid-April is our current estimate).
I can’t say enough about the efforts of KZ (visible) and Erich, Marshall and Todd (mostly invisible) in getting all the complexities of our move handled. CBC has always been about executing to a plan and we’ve shown again that our team excels at getting it done. Kudos to all.
We encourage you to plan to visit our new location and stay tuned as we pull the pieces together to get to our goal of providing the best tasting and hospitality experience in our region.
