Ah Bubbly! Our sparkling wine offering – CB Bubbly – is less profound than it is fun. Our Bubbly appeals to all levels of wine lovers and serves as a faithful ‘first course’ for our wine tasting efforts at our locations and when we’re out doing roadshows. Just a bit sweet and just a bit crisp, we think that our Bubbly is the perfect accompaniment for light snacks and seafood – along with being the Perfect Base for Mimosas! PS – we recommend Guava juice as the best way to make Mimosas and salute our beloved Uncle Bob!

Wine University Merlot

Crystal Basin is Pleased to Announce our November’s subject for Wine University – Merlot!

Crystal Basin is All About the education element of wine. Believe us, there is Always more to know abou the subject! Our Wine University program is a sit-down 90 minute tasting and presentation by our very own (and uber-wine-geeky) Mike Owen. Each class focuses on a varietal or a region or a wine family that is accompanied by wines paired with small bites to enhance the learning experience. Wine University classes are $25 for club members and come with some Serious Deals for students and alumni! Wine University classes are held on Sundays from November to May in the Barrel Room in Camino.

Sip Shop Sip

Join us for our annual “Sip Shop Sip” event at Crystal Basin Cellars in Camino, CA.

Each year on Small Business Saturday, we bring in even smaller businesses to the winery and have a craft fair. These folks bring in really unique, cute and sometimes tasty goodies so our customers can pick out some creative gift ideas. The day doesn’t cost anything and it’s a great way to get the family out of the house and away from the Football games. Burn off some turkey and enjoy some great wines and craft goodies at our “Sip Shop Sip” event at Crystal Basin Cellars in Camino, CA. Want to put together a basket with CBC wines and cheeky goodies? Merlot is an ancient grape varietal originating from the western coast of France in the area famously known as Bordeaux. This grapes grows well in California and likes decomposed granite soils and being watered from above (by sprinklers in Ca). It carries a lovely Smooth and velvet texture including rich mouthfeel and finishes with a dusty cocoa aspect. This stunning wine is both textured and elegant. Don’t let Hollywood fool you, Merlot is a world class wine and we can prove it!

Edwin Hubble was a Meau-Faux who reached to the stars.

Crystal Basin is always seeking to identify and honor innovative leadership. We’ve created a way for us all to recognize and celebrate truly unique folks on their respective birthdays. Each month, Crystal Basin will select a special Meau-Faux who have made an indelible mark on the world in their own way.

This moniker is not to be taken lightly. It takes a LOT to be a Meau-Faux. You have to get up early, stay up late, and in many specific cases, be able to party like a rockstar. We know these personalities and what they stand for instantly. By calling our attention to these leaders, we hope you’ll be able to pull some essence of their spirit into you daily life. They are, quite simply, Meau-Fauxs.

We’re celebrating Edwin Hubble as our November Meau-Faux.

His telescope has helped our scientists learn more about the universe than any other inventor since perhaps Galileo. His ability to conceive and describe an ever-expanding universe opened up both minds and possibilities. We think Edwin Hubble is a Great Choice as the Meau-Faux of the month with his November 20th birthday.
