Wine Beer and Food Gala in South Lake Tahoe | Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe

November 6th will find us actually wearing long pants and trying to look good at the Soroptomist International of South Lake Tahoe’s Hooray for Hollywood Gala at the Golden Nugget.  You can use your Halloween costume again if you dress up as a TV or movie character.  We’re hoping to see lots of our fans from previous years.

No room in your holiday budget for Wine Event Tickets? No Prob dudes and chicas! On Thursday November 12 from 4 to 7pm for a free tasting through wines featured by our friends at Coachman Hotel. The venue attracts guests from all over the world and will definitely check your diversity box for the month. Plus, try some wines you might not have tried for extra diversity points!

Our last blast of the year in SLT is again at the Coachman Hotel for their Merry and Mulled Holiday event.  The Coachman hosts a variety of local craft vendors, juicemakers and other semi-nefarious characters for your Holiday Pleasure.

After that – Holiday planning is all up to you!  Trust us, there is more to do in SLT than wait for that first ski lift to open up!

Wine Down Wednesdays events return on April 11, 2022 and continues through May 18, 2022. In partnership with the Friends of the Roseville Public and local vintners, come taste a variety of wines each week from different varietals including the highly floral Viognier to dark-berried Tempranillo and lush Barbera. Other award-winning wines include smoky and spiced Syrahs, Petite Sirah and adventurous blends. Cabernet Franc and flavor-intense Zinfandel and dessert wine offerings provide plentiful options for every taste and occasion. If wine isn’t quite enough to change your Wednesday plans, we are throwing live music into the mix too. Come down and take in the Town Square, listen to great tunes, taste local wines and be sure to bring your friends. $10 entrance fee good for five, 1oz tasting tickets. Bring the 2022 seasonal souvenir glass back to each event for an additional 1oz tasting. 5oz pour of wine also available for $5.

Foothill Wine Fest

Foothill Wine Fest

The annual Foothill Wine Fest is returning on April 2, 2022. Join us at the Palladio in Folsom, CA from 5:00pm to 8:00pm for an evening of wine tasting and small bites. This large-scale tasting party features wines from over 50 wineries from the California foothills region. General admission ticket holders will receive a commemorative tasting glass, small bites, and free parking. Pricing for general admission is $65 per person or $110 for a couple.

This year you can purchase a VIP experience for the Foothill Wine Fest. This includes a ticket to the festival, dinner at the Best of Show Winemakers Dinner on March 28th at Back Bistro, as well as early entrance to the festival to allow for ample time to converse directly with the winemakers.

Crystal Basin Cellars Awards from Foothill Wine Competition

The Foothill Wine Fest is just the afterparty. The main event took place in March 2022 at the Foothill Wine Competition where each of the wines were sampled, judged, and awards were given for the best wines. And guess what?? We won 6 Golds and 1 Double Gold, which will all be featured at the Foothill Wine Fest.

2022 Folsom Wine and Jazz Festival

2022 Folsom Wine and Jazz Festival returns March 11, 2022. Set at the gorgeous grounds at the Zittel Family Amphitheater, you’ll enjoy an evening of excellent wine, delectable cuisine, and award winning jazz.

The evening’s entertainment will be provided by the nationally recognized jazz musicians of Folsom High School and Sutter and Folsom Middle Schools.

Included in the night’s activities will be a Silent Auction including donations from our participating servers as well as local businesses to support the Folsom High Music Program.
